Comic Sans is not just the bane of hipster designers. It is clearly the world’s least favourite font.

There are campaigns across the web calling to have it banned and was once descibed as a lame font, made evil by its endless, widespread use in a list of regrettable tech inventions.

Well, Comic Sans has finally replied to the hostility:

“Listen up. I know the shit you’ve been saying behind my back. You think I’m stupid. You think I’m immature. You think I’m a malformed, pathetic excuse for a font. Well think again, nerdhole, because I’m Comic Sans, and I’m the best thing to happen to typography since Johannes fucking Gutenberg.”

I’m in the city of Austin, Texas for the interactive conference that is part of the annual South by Southwest (SXSW) Festival – an event for the music, film and interactive industries which optimistically promises that “Tomorrow Happens Here”. Google is a company that has a mission to make the world’s information as universally accessible as possible. And, in their Code of Conduct they state their philosphy is “Don’t be evil.” Both of these seem at odds with how the company operates in China.

Went on the radio this afternoon to do my geek to human thing helping to explain the mystifying Google Wave.

If only radio had pictures, then I could have shown this reenactment of the famous Samuel L. Jackson “Ezekiel 25:17″ scene from Pulp Fiction through the ambitious new communications, sharing and collaboration platform.

It’s easily the best demonstration of what is possible in Wave. Now, I hope my friends can hurry up and get invites so I can start making parody videos too.

Love seeing that an advertising creative duo recently let go from Campaign Palace Melbourne are willing to do a light hearted daily video blog that documents their ‘unemployed life’. Nice work Shane and Ben!
